Why crypto?
Start with the constraint, not the technology.
Card networks, PayPal, and Stripe prohibit adult content in their terms of service.
Some VR commission work is NSFW, and processors don't audit platform-by-platform -
they apply the rule across the board. The practical result is that this entire
category of work has spent years on PayPal Friends & Family, with no recourse for
either side when things go wrong. That's the market failure we're addressing.
Crypto, for our purposes, is not a thesis. It's the only settlement layer that will
actually clear a payment in this category without freezing the account a week later.
We picked it the way a small business picks a freight carrier: by what gets the
package delivered.
The reasonable next question is volatility. We address it directly: escrow is held in
USDC, a dollar-pegged stablecoin. One USDC is one dollar, today and at
delivery. Buyers who prefer Bitcoin can pay in Bitcoin; the conversion happens at a
rate locked at checkout. Sellers receive funds into their own wallet, and the cash-out
side is just as flexible - hold the USDC, swap it for Bitcoin,
or move it to any exchange and withdraw to a bank. We don't hold customer money on our
balance sheet, and we don't want to.
To be plain about what this site is and isn't: we operate a marketplace. We don't run
trading, lending, yield, or any other financial product in the background. Payment
comes in, work gets done, payment goes out. Escrow sits in the middle. That's the
entire business.
